DC converters for mill stands, shears and retrofits
Many mills still run on DC motors. SINAMICS DCM lets them keep those motors while moving to a modern, PROFINET-connected converter. We build DCM-based DC drive cabinets in two- or four-quadrant versions and use them both in new lines and to modernise ageing DC drives.

In most revamps, yes — the converter and control are renewed while the existing DC motors stay in service, subject to their condition.
